Attendance Information: Private Pilates Sessions

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the way we run our sessions has changed to ensure we are keeping both clients and staff as safe as possible. Please read the information below.

Our in-studio physiotherapist led private pilates sessions are held at:

Watch House Farm
Wash Road
Noak Bridge
Essex SS15 4ER

What do I need to bring?

You must wear a mask on entry and exit of the studio as this is when it will be more difficult for social distancing to be maintained.  Social distancing will be maintained throughout your session so once you are through reception and on your mat in the studio there is no requirement to wear a mask unless you wish to do so.

You are welcome to either use our equipment, or to bring your own. This is your choice.

We encourage you to bring your own water.  Drinking water is available at the studio, but we do ask that you bring your own drinks bottle.

To maximise ventilation & keep the studio as safe as possible the doors and windows will remain open throughout the duration of the class.  Therefore you may wish to bring a jumper or extra layers to wear if it is a cooler day.

What should I do when I arrive at the studio?

On arrival at the studio, you will be required to wait outside, either at a 2m distance outside the entrance, or you can wait in your car.  The instructor / physiotherapist taking the class will then call you in one at a time.  You must use hand sanitiser prior to entry – we have a hand sanitiser station outside the entry door.  The instructor / physiotherapist taking the session will be wearing a mask at this time, whilst they instruct your arrival into the studio.

Please remove your shoes in the reception area and proceed into the studio in a timely manner.

Please let the instructor / physiotherapist know whether you have your own equipment or whether you will be using ours, and if so what you require.  The instructor / physiotherapist will then tell you where to go in the studio (spaces are marked out on the floor), so you can set up your space, and you must then remain on your mat throughout the duration of the class.  If you are using our equipment, it will have been disinfected prior to you touching it, but there will be wipes available at each floor space should you wish to wipe equipment yourself.

Prior to the start of the class, the instructor / physiotherapist will read out the screening questions to confirm you are safe to be there and gives your consent.  The instructor / physiotherapist may choose to remove their mask following this, once they are happy you are safe to be there, and at a safe distance.

During your session

We hope you enjoy your pilates session, and once the session starts you should not notice any changes from prior to lockdown, except that the instructor / physiotherapist will remain socially distanced from you at the front of the studio, and so no hands-on feedback will be given.

Can I use the toilet?

The toilet is available to be used if needed, but we encourage you avoid this if possible.  There will be anti-bacterial wipes available in the toilet for you to wipe surfaces and the door handle.

After your session

Once your session has finished, you will be asked to wear your mask whilst leaving the studio.  You may wish to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser on leaving the studio, and we encourage you to wash your hands again as soon as you get home.

What if I test positive for Covid-19?

If you are unwell or develop symptoms please follow government guidelines, including contact from the NHS Track & Trace service regarding self-isolation.  If you are unable to attend the studio due to illness or self-isolation please give us as much notice as possible.  We are unable to refund sessions, but they can be rescheduled to a later date.
