Attendance Information: Rayleigh Pilates Classes

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the way we run our classes has changed to ensure we are keeping both clients and staff as safe as possible. Please read the information below.

Our Rayleigh physiotherapist led pilates classes for beginners, intermediates and advanced are held at:

The Grange Community Centre
Little Wheatley Chase
Rayleigh
Essex
SS6 9EH

What do I need to bring?

You must wear a mask on entry and exit of the premises as this is when it will be more difficult for social distancing to be maintained.  Social distancing will be maintained throughout the classes so once you are through reception and on your mat in the hall there is no requirement to wear a mask unless you wish to do so.

You must bring your own mat, but are welcome to either use our equipment, or to bring your own. This is your choice.

We encourage you to bring your own water.  Drinking water is available on the premises, but we do ask that you bring your own drinks bottle.

To maximise ventilation & keep the hall as safe as possible the windows will remain open throughout the duration of the class.  Therefore you may wish to bring a jumper or extra layers to wear if it is a cooler day.

What should I do when I arrive at the studio?

On arrival at the studio, you will be required to wait outside at a 2m distance outside the entrance.  The instructor / physiotherapist taking the class will then call you in one at a time.  You must use hand sanitiser prior on entry, which will be available for on you at The Grange.  The instructor / physiotherapist taking the class will be wearing a mask at this time, whilst they instruct your arrival into the premises.

Please let the instructor / physiotherapist know whether you have your own equipment or whether you will be using ours, and if so what you require.  The instructor / physiotherapist will then tell you where to go in the hall, so you can set up your space, and you must then remain on your mat throughout the duration of the class.  If you are using our equipment, it will have been disinfected prior to you touching it, but there will be cleaning products available should you wish to wipe equipment yourself.

Please wait patiently for your classmates to enter the hall.  Prior to the start of the class, the physiotherapist will read out the screening questions to confirm everyone is safe to be there and gives their consent.  The physiotherapist may choose to remove their mask following this, once they are happy everyone is safe to be there, and at a safe distance.

During the class

We hope you enjoy our pilates class, and once the class starts you should not notice any changes from prior to lockdown, except that the physiotherapist will remain socially distanced from you at the front of the class, and so no hands-on feedback will be given.

After the class

Once the class has finished, we ask that you wipe down and return any equipment you have used to the front of the hall, and that you wipe the floor where you have placed your mat. You will then be asked to leave the hall one at a time to avoid congestion.  You may wish to use hand sanitiser on leaving the premises, and we encourage you to wash your hands again as soon as you get home.

What if I test positive for Covid-19?

If you are unwell or develop symptoms please follow government guidelines, including contact from the NHS Track & Trace service regarding self-isolation.  If you miss classes due to self-isolating you can request virtual class options to attend as an alternative, but Animated Physiotherapy cannot refund missed sessions due to illness. If the hall has to close due to staff sickness or local lockdown you will be given a coupon code as credit to redeem cancelled studio classes.
